9th Annual Newburgh Anti-Violence Community Day Set for July 11
Newburgh, New York — Community members are invited to attend the 9th Annual Newburgh Anti-Violence Community Day on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 140 Broadway, between Johnston and Lander streets in Newburgh.
Hosted by Councilman Robert McLymore and Life Restoration Church, the annual event is designed to bring residents together in support of peace, unity, and stronger neighborhoods. Organizers say the free, family-friendly gathering will feature food, live music, games, a bounce house, and activities for children and families throughout the afternoon.
This year’s event will also include a live performance by MVORE, adding local entertainment to a day centered on community engagement and violence prevention. A number of local businesses, elected officials, organizations, and community partners are supporting the event, including the City of Newburgh, Mayor Torrance Harvey, Councilman Omari Shakur, and several local sponsors.
Residents of all ages are encouraged to attend and participate in a day focused on building connections, promoting positive community relationships, and encouraging a safer future for Newburgh.
