Free Concert and ‘Hamilton’ Screening Moved Indoors for Newburgh’s July 4 Celebration
NEWBURGH, N.Y. — The City of Newburgh’s celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary will continue this Saturday with a free evening of live music, culture, and a special screening of the award-winning hip-hop musical Hamilton—now being held indoors due to the anticipated heat wave.
Originally scheduled for Safe Harbors Green, organizers announced the event has been relocated to The Ritz Theatre, 107 Broadway, to provide a more comfortable experience for attendees.
The celebration begins at 5 p.m. with performances from local and tri-state artists representing hip-hop, neo-soul, Mexican folk, and other genres that reflect the diversity of the Newburgh community.
At 8 p.m., attendees are invited to enjoy a free screening of the award-winning hip-hop musical Hamilton as part of the city’s celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary.
Featured performers include DJ HD Vibez, Anaconda Peru, Alex Haines, Hollywood Herb Hudson, Gabrielle Jovy, Hudson Lorde, Jazzy M’Vore, Ralph M’Vore, Lisa Pellegrino, Karla La Phoenix, Dinnia La Tica, and Adrian Vargas.
The event is free and family-friendly. Community members are encouraged to bring friends and enjoy an evening celebrating music, culture, history, and community.
