CARDI B SAYS SHE FEELS LIKE ‘HIP-HOP’S BRITNEY SPEARS’ AMID CONSTANT HEADLINES

NEW YORK — Cardi B says she’s reached a point where she understands what Britney Spears experienced under constant public scrutiny, comparing the nonstop attention surrounding her personal life to the intense media spotlight the pop icon faced for years.
The Grammy-winning rapper sparked conversation on X after posting, “Just know … I understand Britney Spears.”
Later, Cardi elaborated in a video, calling herself “hip-hop’s Britney Spears.”
“I’m really hip-hop’s Britney Spears,” Cardi said. “I got all the tea on these celebrities… But guess what? Nobody reports about it. You want to know why? Because nobody gives a f**k.”
She went on to express frustration that her own life continues to dominate headlines, saying, “When it comes to me… I can’t even p*** in a cup… People pay for this type of talk. Bringing the drama.”
The comments come as Cardi has recently been linked to Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye after the two were photographed together in Europe. Following those reports, Okoye’s former partner publicly accused him of failing to care for their son and clarified that her criticism was directed at him—not Cardi.
Cardi has not publicly addressed the speculation surrounding her relationship with Okoye, but her latest comments reflect her frustration with the level of public attention focused on her personal life.
