‘Love Island USA’ Contestant Alannah Keyser Removed From Villa After Racist Videos Resurface
LOS ANGELES, California — “Love Island USA” contestant Alannah Keyser has been removed from the villa after videos and social media posts resurfaced that allegedly show her using a racial slur.
Peacock confirmed that Keyser would no longer appear on the show following Thursday night’s episode. The decision came after a video circulated online that allegedly showed her using the N-word while singing Roddy Ricch’s song “The Box.”
An alleged past Instagram comment attributed to Keyser containing the same racial slur also resurfaced, prompting widespread backlash on social media.
According to production sources, the video and social media posts were not publicly accessible during the contestant vetting process and only surfaced after Keyser had already joined the cast.
The controversy marks the second time this season that a contestant has been removed under similar circumstances. Earlier this season, contestant Vasana Montgomery also exited the villa after previously recorded videos resurfaced that appeared to show her using the same racial slur.
Production sources told TMZ the videos involving Montgomery were likewise unavailable during the casting process and did not become public until after filming had begun.
Peacock has not announced whether another contestant will replace Keyser.
