Man Climbs Onto Roof of Yellow Taxi as Emergency Crews Respond in Manhattan
NEW YORK, N.Y. — A man was carried away by officers after climbing onto the roof of a yellow taxi near West 168th Street in Manhattan.
Video circulating on social media shows the man standing on the vehicle while NYPD officers and FDNY emergency personnel gathered around the area. Responders appeared to communicate with him as traffic remained stopped nearby.
Later footage shows several officers carrying the man away from the scene by his arms and legs. The available video does not show how officers removed him from the taxi.
It remains unclear what led to the incident, how long the man remained on the vehicle or whether he was arrested, detained or transported for medical evaluation. No injuries were visible in the footage.
