Paul Caneiro Sentenced to Life in Prison for Colts Neck Family Murders

COLTS NECK, NJ — Paul Caneiro was sentenced to life in prison Tuesday for the murders of four family members in a high-profile Colts Neck case that shocked New Jersey, according to published reports.

Authorities said Caneiro was convicted in connection with the 2018 killings of his brother Keith Caneiro, Keith’s wife Jennifer, and the couple’s two children inside their Colts Neck home.

Prosecutors said Caneiro set fire to the family’s mansion after the killings. Investigators also said he attempted to burn down his own home in an effort to cover up the crimes.
