Six People Found Dead Inside Mechanicville Home, Police Investigating

MECHANICVILLE, New York — Police are investigating after six people were found dead inside a home on Harris Avenue in Mechanicville on Tuesday evening.

According to police, officers responded to the residence around 6:20 p.m. for a welfare check and discovered six deceased individuals inside the home.

A neighbor told CBS6 they requested the welfare check after not speaking with anyone in the residence since June 9. The neighbor also said children lived in the apartment.

Authorities have not released the identities of the victims. Police said the names will be withheld until family members have been notified.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional information has not yet been released.
