T.I.‘S ‘KILL THE KING’ DEBUTS IN BILLBOARD’S TOP 10

ATLANTA, Georgia — T.I. has added another milestone to his career as his self-described final studio album, Kill the King, debuted in the top 10 of Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
Released through Grand Hustle and EMPIRE, Kill the King enters the chart at No. 10, giving the Atlanta rapper his 13th top-10 album on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. According to Billboard, the project earned 22,000 equivalent album units in the United States during its first tracking week.
The album also debuted at No. 7 on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums chart and No. 30 on the all-genre Billboard 200.
T.I. has described Kill the King as his final studio album, bringing to a close a chart run that began with Trap Muzik in 2003. Throughout his career, he has earned multiple No. 1 albums on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, including King, T.I. vs. T.I.P., Paper Trail, No Mercy, Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head, and Paperwork.
The album’s lead single, “Let Em Know,” became T.I.’s first Billboard Hot 100 top-40 hit since 2014, peaking at No. 33. It also reached No. 1 on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, marking his first chart-topper there since 2013. His current single, “Mr. Him,” has also continued to gain momentum on radio.
With Kill the King, T.I. closes out a recording career that has spanned more than two decades, solidifying his legacy as one of Atlanta’s most influential hip-hop artists.
